Cycle paths

Through marshes, forests, and along the coast, these trails allow you to appreciate the diverse landscapes at your own pace. Fishing on foot
Practice one of the island's flagship activities: fishing on foot. From the port of Château-d'Oléron, via the coastal path, you can practice fishing on foot (boots essential). You can fish: cockles, clams, mussels, periwinkles, shrimp, etc.
Here are some tips: each stone turned over must be put back in place otherwise the microfauna will disappear, do not plow the soil, the algae must be picked carefully (do not tear them up ), check tide times and coefficients, adapt your equipment to the weather conditions, do not leave alone or warn those around you and fish according to your needs.
Please note, certain areas are classified as "nature reserves" and fishing is prohibited there. Do not hesitate to inquire at the reception of your campsite on the island of Oléron before setting off on an adventure.
